About us
Ferli Fine Art
Presentation
Ferli Fine Art is the result of a collaboration between Antoine Feix and Nicola Sarli, two art market specialists driven by the same high standards. Initially, Ferli is structured around the sale of artworks. The pieces offered are selected based on their artistic quality, provenance, historical significance, and aesthetic appeal. This commercial vocation is part of a broader vision: to bring together a passion for art and a long-term approach to heritage management.
From this philosophy emerges an advisory service in the investment, management, and enhancement of artworks and valuable objects. Ferli offers a comprehensive solution for private collectors and investors wishing to integrate art into a diversified wealth strategy. Ferli supports its clients at every stage: acquisition, conservation, valuation, sale, and transmission.
Ferli acts as a trusted partner, combining academic knowledge with expertise in the legal, tax, and financial aspects of the art market. Far from short-term speculative logic, Ferli favors an approach based on quality, provenance, expert knowledge, and the historical and aesthetic relevance of artworks.
With transparency and high standards as its pillars, Ferli positions itself as a leading reference for those who wish to approach art as both a cultural and patrimonial asset.
History
Ferli Fine Art was founded in 2022 following the meeting of Antoine Feix and Nicola Sarli at the Sorbonne, during their Master’s program in Art Expertise and the Art Market. This specialized training, combining academic rigor with immersion in market realities, marked the beginning of an intellectual partnership and a shared vision of the art world. Both with a background in art history, they share a high standard in the selection of artworks and a meticulous approach to collection management.
Their paths, both parallel and complementary, form the DNA of Ferli. Antoine Feix began his career at the auction house Chauviré & Courant in Angers. He continued his experience in Paris at Millon, then joined the Old Master and 19th-Century European Paintings department at Sotheby’s. He further honed his expertise as an art and valuables expert for banks and insurance companies, working within a professional valuation firm. In parallel, he built a consulting practice advising private clients and businesses on the acquisition of artworks, in collaboration with various market partners. A graduate in Art History and Archaeology from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, followed by a Master’s in Art Expertise and the Art Market at Sorbonne University, he has developed a strategic vision of the art market focused on heritage enhancement.
Nicola Sarli studied Art History and Archaeology at Roma Tre University, then completed a research master’s at La Sapienza, before enrolling in the Master’s program in Art Expertise and the Art Market at the Sorbonne. He began his career within several contemporary art institutions in Rome, where he trained in collection management and conservation. He later joined the Turquin firm, a benchmark in Old Master painting expertise, and then the Galerie Perrin in Paris. His knowledge of the art market, his sensitivity to provenance research, and his rigorous approach to authentication contribute directly to Ferli’s practice.
Their combined paths and shared culture of the art market define Ferli’s unique identity: an independent, discerning outlook grounded in the economic realities of the market.
